Organic Japanese Roasted Green Tea Kukicha is a delicious everyday tea made from aromatic tea sprigs harvested in the second or third harvest. The flavour is strong, with a mild umami aftertaste. The best taste of kukicha tea is obtained when brewed with water heated to about 75 °C.
Preparation
Use 1 teaspoon of kukicha tea per 250 ml of water.
Make tea the traditional Japanese way:
Heat a mug with hot water. Place the tea sprigs in a strainer or teapot and pour over water heated to 75-90 °C. Allow to infuse for 1-2 minutes.
If pouring a second time, allow the tea to infuse for another 30 seconds.
