Customer – an active natural or legal person who has purchased goods from the online shop www.biopapa.lv.

The Personal Data Processing Regulations (hereinafter – the Regulations) regulate the basic principles of collection, processing and storage of personal data on the basis of which the Data Controller processes the Buyer’s personal data.

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

  • This Privacy Policy sets out the basic principles and procedures for the collection, processing and storage of personal data of the Data Controller and the Customer.
  • The collection, processing and storage of the Buyer’s personal data is governed by this Privacy Policy, the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Latvia and other legal acts.
  • By providing your personal data to the Shop, you agree that the Data Controller will manage and process it for the purposes, means and in the manner provided for in this Privacy Policy and by law.
  • The Buyer undertakes to provide complete and correct information about himself when placing an order. If the Customer provides inaccurate or false data, the Data Controller has the right to cancel the Customer’s registration and/or restrict access to the Shop. If the Buyer’s personal data changes, the Buyer must update them immediately.
  • The Data Controller undertakes to sell goods to natural persons who are at least 16 years old. If the Buyer is under 16 years of age, the Buyer may only purchase goods with the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. COLLECTION, PROCESSING AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

The Data Controller shall be guided by the following basic principles for the processing of personal data:
– Personal data is collected for specified and legitimate purposes.
– Personal data is processed accurately and fairly.
– Personal data is constantly updated.
– Personal data is kept no longer than is necessary and for the purposes for which the data was processed.
– Personal data are processed only by employees who have been granted this right.
– All information about the personal data processed is confidential.

The Customer agrees that the personal data voluntarily provided by him/her at the time of ordering will be processed in accordance with the following terms:

– The customer has the right to access their personal data, the right to know what personal data we have collected and the right to know to whom personal data has been transferred and provided in the last 1 year. The right to request rectification of incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate personal data, the right to request erasure of personal data collected and the right to request the cessation of processing of personal data collected. In this case, the Data Controller shall immediately (within 1-5 working days) comply with the Buyer’s request and delete or reliably depersonalize the Buyer’s data. If the Data Controller perceives a threat to personal data, he has the right to request personal identification documents that allow the correct identification of the Customer.
– The Data Controller recognises and respects the e-mail and privacy rights of each Customer who places an order. The Data Controller collects and uses the Buyer’s personal data (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other information provided when ordering goods from the Online Shop) in order to process orders for goods or services or to fulfil other contractual obligations. By placing an order, the customer may give his/her consent/non-consent to the use of his/her personal data for direct marketing purposes. He does this by ticking (I agree to my personal data being used for direct marketing purposes) or unticking (I do not agree). The Data Controller undertakes to provide the possibility to unsubscribe from receiving the newsletter by sending the newsletter to the e-mail address provided by the Customer (the option “unsubscribe from receiving the newsletter” must be provided at the end of the newsletter, after which the Customer will no longer receive the newsletter).

3. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA ABROAD

biopapa.lv will do its utmost to ensure that if a customer’s personal data is transferred abroad, it is provided with an appropriate level of security. The Data Controller undertakes not to disclose the Buyer’s personal data to third parties, with the exception of the Data Controller’s partners providing delivery services or other services related to the proper execution of the Buyer’s order. In all other cases, the Buyer’s personal data may be disclosed to third parties only in accordance with the procedure provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Latvia.

4. REGISTRATION RULES

– The buyer must provide complete and accurate information about himself on the registration form. If the Customer has provided inaccurate, false or misleading data in the registration form, the Data Controller has the right to cancel the Customer’s registration and delete the data or restrict the Customer’s access to the e-shop.
– The Buyer has the right to change and/or update the information provided in the registration form at any time.

5. PRIVACY POLICY TERMS AND AMENDMENTS

We assume that you have read and accepted the principles and terms of our Privacy Policy before using our website or by completing a request to become a regular customer. We reserve the right to amend the main terms of this Privacy Policy by notifying all regular customers.
