Technological innovation: the SELF-DETECT technology
All ASCENT blenders are equipped with SELF-DETECT technology, which allows the blender to “recognise” the container. The blender thus adapts the automatic programmes to the selected volume and does not start until the container is correctly positioned on the motor unit. For example, selecting the Smoothie programme and placing a small container on the blender will allow the blender to run for a shorter time and consume less energy. If you select the Soup programme, the appliance will only work with the lid on, as the hot steam must escape through the vents in the 2-litre container. If the selected programme is not suitable for the selected container, the chopper will not start. Thanks to this technological innovation, even a beginner can use this blender safely and easily.
The new vessel
The new Vitamix Ascent 2 litre container has a transparent lid with a locking system that allows the A2500 to start only when the lid is properly closed. Through the transparent lid, you can monitor the food being cooked and its consistency without interrupting the pureeing process. If you want to add additional ingredients during the grinding process, you can do so by opening the lid at the top.
Want to make baby puree, a glass of fruit cocktail or conveniently slice an onion? Then choose additional 0.6 l or 0.225 l containers with a grinding base. Even small portions of food can be prepared with these durable Tritan cookware, which are BPA-free.
For ice cream and thick foods such as peanut butter or turmeric hummus, the Vitamix’s included chopper will make the job much easier. This means you won’t have to stop the chopper and scrape ingredients off the sides of the bowl.
