There is no other drink in Japan that is drunk as often as sencha. Sencha is made from young, first harvest green tea leaves. The taste is fresh and light, with a pleasant umami aftertaste.
This tea is grown and processed immediately in Japan using traditional methods to preserve the best flavour. A great choice for peaceful relaxation and everyday tea enjoyment.
Preparation
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 250 ml of water.
Make in the traditional Japanese way:
Heat a teacup with hot water, then place the tea in a strainer or teapot and pour over water heated to about 85-90 °C. Allow to infuse for 1-2 minutes.
If pouring a second time, allow the tea to infuse for another 30 seconds.
