Organic spice mix Garam Masala
Garam masala literally means “hot spices,” because this mixture—based on various spices—warms the body.
Garam masala is a traditional Indian spice blend that not only adds flavor to dishes but is also believed to have beneficial health properties. Its warming qualities help maintain body heat during colder seasons.
It is a versatile spice, perfect for curries, soups, marinades, stews, and rice dishes, making it valuable both for taste and culinary versatility.
Vegetable rice recipe
Rinse 1 cup of rice and drain well in a sieve.
Heat a little oil or clarified butter in a pot, add chopped onion and garlic, and lightly sauté.
Add 2 cups of finely chopped vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, cauliflower) and cook while stirring for 4–5 minutes.
Add 1 teaspoon of garam masala, mix well, and sauté for another minute.
Add the rice and stir again.
Pour in 2 cups of water, add 1 teaspoon of salt, mix, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and cook for 10–15 minutes (depending on the rice type) until all water is absorbed and the rice becomes soft and fluffy.
Serve with green peas or lemon wedges if desired.
