Organic white beans
Small white beans, also known as small cannellini, are a nutritious legume valued for its mild flavour. They are an excellent source of plant-based protein, fibre and essential nutrients. Thanks to their high fibre content, these beans can support digestive health and the protein is particularly useful for vegetarians and vegans. In addition, beans are naturally low in fat and cholesterol free.
Small white beans are versatile and easy to prepare. They are suitable for both hot and cold dishes, from hearty soups and stews to refreshing salads and spreads.
Dried beans should be soaked overnight before cooking, or quickly brought to the boil and left to stand, which will shorten cooking time and improve digestibility.
Once cooked, the beans hold their shape well, making them ideal for dishes such as minestrone soup, white bean chilli or Mediterranean salads. The mild flavour of these beans makes them an excellent absorber of spices and other ingredients in a wide range of dishes.

Preparation method:
Soak the beans in water for about 8 hours (or overnight).
After soaking, rinse and cover with clean water.
Cook over medium heat for about 1-1,5 hours until tender. In pressure cooker, time 20 - 30 minutes. The cooking time depends on how tender you want the beans to be, whether you are using them for a salad or a stew.
You can season with salt and spices in the last stages of cooking.
