Organic chlorella powder

Chlorella vulgaris, a unicellular blue-green algae, comes from an island in the South China Sea. Chlorella is grown in filtered natural water under strict controls. Rich in organic substances, Chlorella is a popular base for detoxification programmes. This algae is rich in important vitamins (A, B) and minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus and potassium. The chlorella cell is protected by a tough wall which is ground to make nutrients more bioavailable.
Chlorella powder can be mixed into smoothies, juices or water - start with ½ to 1 teaspoon per day. It can also be sprinkled on salads or added to healthy snacks such as energy balls. It is best taken on an empty stomach and avoid consuming foods high in calcium at the same time, as this can reduce nutrient absorption.

The recommended daily intake is up to 15 g per day. Start with a lower dose.

Warning:
Possible side effects include mild digestive upset such as bloating, gas or abdominal cramps, especially after starting the product, while the body adjusts to the high fibre content.
