Organic pistachios (shelled)
Pistachio (Latin: Pistacia, especially Pistacia vera) is a genus of plant that dates back thousands of years in the Middle East and Central Asia, where pistachios were valued for their nutritional and medicinal properties. Traditionally used in Persian, Ayurvedic and Mediterranean medicine, pistachios are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, due to their high content of healthy fats, fibre, vitamins and minerals.
Pistachios are commonly used as a snack or in desserts, salads, sauces, and can also be processed into oil or food supplements. The recommended daily intake is about 30 grams (a handful), although up to 60-70 grams can be consumed under professional supervision.
