Organic Bulgarian Rosa Damascena oil (Rose Otto), obtained through steam distillation, has one of the most valuable and distinctive aromas. Rose oil is widely used in the cosmetics and perfumery industries due to its complex molecular composition, nourishing and therapeutic properties, and deep, multi-layered aroma.

ROSE OIL COMPOSITION

Rose oil is extracted through steam distillation using a special technology. It is light yellow in colour. The main base notes are deep, sweet and floral, while spicy accents emerge in the middle notes.

At 25°C, rose oil is a viscous liquid. When cooled, it becomes a crystalline mass that can be liquefied again by warming. Rose oil is a complex mixture of more than 300 different components. The main component of the rose flower is phenylethyl alcohol. However, phenylethyl alcohol is highly soluble in water and is usually lost during distillation unless it is collected as rose water.

The main components also include geraniol, citronellol and nerol. Many other components are present in very small quantities, but they have a significant influence on the overall quality of rose oil. One example is damascenone, which is one of the most powerful aromatic components.

USES OF ROSE OIL
