Organic Deglet Nour pitted dates (dried)
Deglet Nour dates, known as the “queen of all dates,” have been cultivated for centuries in North Africa, especially in Algeria and Tunisia, where they were valued by ancient Arab traders for their high energy value and long shelf life. Historically, they were an important food source for desert travelers and soldiers, providing natural sugars, fiber, and minerals. They are often consumed as a snack, added to smoothies and baked goods, or used in savory dishes such as tagine and salads.
Although there is no strictly defined daily intake, it is recommended to eat 3–5 dates per day to achieve optimal benefits without excessive sugar consumption.
Dried dates are a tasty addition to breakfast porridge, smoothies, pancakes, and baked goods. They can also be used as a filling, for example, to stuff soy cutlets.
Dried dates can also be used as a natural sweetener.
